I really need to know?

my granddaughter mother just had another baby.my grand baby live with use.the mother haven't came to see her in months.no contact at all.the new baby don't belong to my son.and we have her thorough the courts.should i contact her or leave it alone.and for the records she not a good parent.everyone tells me to contact her and let her have it.but i don't know
