Pacifiers to reduce the risk of SIDS at night, but I'm feeding?

I know I'm not suppose to force my daughter to take it. But in the SIDS pamphlet that the hospital gave me it says if I am feeding to wait until my daughter is a month old before using a pacifier. I haven't followed that at all?
